This fire is located in the Sierra National Forest. The 2021 Dixie Fire was an enormous wildfire in Butte, Plumas, Lassen, Shasta, and Tehama counties in Northern California. Right off the bat we can see the effects that the 2017 fires had on Northern California as there aren’t any values of 0.6 or above in the 2018 map, indicating that there isn’t an area of dense green vegetation. Eighty-two structures were destroyed in this fire. While, the map from 2018 (a few months after the fire) has a scale that ranges from -0.669894 to 0.448416. According to Inciweb, all areas in Oregon will remain in a Level 1 (green) “Be Ready” status. No additional fire spread is anticipated. The Mendocino Complex Fire, which started in July 2018, refers to the damage caused by two neighboring firesthe Ranch and River fires.
